Conference 2025 – Infrastructure and Interface
The DHKO 2025 Conference took place at the University of Inland Norway, Campus Hamar, on 15 and 16 October 2025. The theme was Infrastructure and Interface, explored through workshops, presentations, and two keynote lectures: Jack Andersen, “Organizing Information, Technological Change and Ideological Contestation” (watch), and Jordan Magnuson, “Game Poems and Born-Videogame Poetics” (watch).
The conference was organised by DHKO in collaboration with the University of Inland Norway, the research group Digital Communication and Culture, and the research project Verden på norsk (The World in Norwegian). From DHKO: Dianna Walla, Nick Walkley and Camilla H. Soelseth. From INN University: Sirir Fürst Shogmo, Ida Jahr, and Karianne Dæhlin Hagen.

Conference 2024 – Digital and digitized traces
The DHKO 2024 Conference took place at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) on 21 and 22 October 2024. The programme consisted of workshops, conference presentations, and two keynote lectures: Chris Kerr, "Code Poetry: The Constraints of Programming and Making Art with Code", and Jonathan Westin, "A Thousand Years of Graffiti: War, Cultural Heritage in Peril, and Digital Humanities".
The conference was organised by DHKO in collaboration with the University Library at NTNU, the research group Verden på norsk (The World in Norwegian), and the research group Media, Data, Museums (HF, NTNU).
Conference 2023
The DHKO 2023 Conference took place at the University Library of the University of Oslo (UiO) on 23 October 2023. As the first national meeting for digital humanities and culture organisation in Norway, it gathered researchers, professionals, and students from across the country. The keynote was delivered by Sally Chambers on “From Data Spaces to Collections as Data.” A full summary is available here.
